Meet the newest hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, in the heart of Dubai’s business district – The Sheraton Grand Hotel Dubai.
Only 10 minutes from Dubai International Airport, The Sheraton Grant Hotel offers luxury contemporary accomodation and dining.
Rooms & Suites | Club room, Deluxe Room or Deluxe Suite.
Apartments | 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments.
We stayed in a Deluxe Room which all offer complimentary wifi, a Nespresso machine, a standalone bathtub, a rain shower and a flat screen TV.
Our room was modern, clean and well maintained..and that tub! We went out of our way to find bubble bath (which proved to be hard in Dubai) just to make the most of our stay. Very luxurious indeed. The giant King size bed was comfortable and so needed after a long flight and the floor to ceiling windows were perfect for looking out over the sparkling city lights.
The Sheraton Grand Dubai has a few dining options – The Grand Breakfast, Link @ Sheraton, Cake Away, Dawn & Dusk, Novikov, Moe’s on the 5th, Beat the Heat and Friday Brunch at Feast.
The Grand Breakfast buffet lives up to it’s title serving one of the most varied breakfast spreads in the city including everything from super fresh tropical fruits, freshly baked pastries and big breakfasts to curries, manoushe and more.
Room Service in The Sheraton Grand Dubai is quick and easy. While the food can’t compare to the Grand Breakfast Buffet, the room service menu is simple and convenient.
Veggie options – The hotel’s diverse range of dining options includes plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. Room service has fruit, hot snacks and small salads and The Grand Breakfast Buffet is your best bet for all you can eat (and drink).
Spa | On the 52nd floor is the Shine Spa which offers spa treatments and access to the steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and ice fountain. One of the most memorable moments of my trip to Dubai is sitting in comfy armchairs on the 52nd floor taking in the view while nibbling on nuts and dried fruits after an amazing massage.
Pool | Also on the 52nd floor is the rooftop pool. If you can handle the heat, refreshments can be served right to your poolside deckchair. We lasted for 20 minutes before retreating to the indoor sauna, steam room and jacuzzi which is divided by gender.
Gym | On the 53rd floor is the hotel’s gym (which I confess we didn’t step foot in).
Taxi | The most popular way to get around the city thanks to the heat and humidity.
Car | The Sheraton Grand Hotel Dubai is only a 10 minute drive from Dubai International Airport and offers complimentary valet parking for all guests.
Walk | While the Sheraton Grand Hotel is within walking distance from the World Trade Centre and Dubai Convention Centre, you won’t see many people walking around thanks to the heat and humidity (in fact the concierge laughed when we asked how to walk to Dubai Mall – “people just get taxis around here”, before we walked out of the hotel to the taxi bay and our glasses immediately fogged up from the humidity).
– Dubai Mall
– Burj Khalifa
– World Trade Centre
– Ripe Market
